When the famous London Symphony Orchestra performed music from video games for the first time on 30 May 2013, both fans and critics were equally enthusiastic. As a result of this resounding success, a follow-up is already being announced today: Symphonic Legends London! Here familiar melodies from the Legend of Zelda series will be presented by over 200 musicians from the London Symphony Orchestra and the London Symphony Chorus on 13 July 2014 at the Barbican Centre. Never before have so many musicians been involved in a concert of video game music produced by Merregnon Studios.
The programme includes titles from A Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, The Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. As a world premiere, an overture will be performed with melodies from the latest game, Skyward Sword. Tickets for the event are available from tomorrow on the websites of the Barbican Centre and the London Symphony Orchestra.
