Classical band Spark plays Symphonic Legends

On 13 July 2014, over 200 musicians from the London Symphony Orchestra and the London Symphony Chorus will join at London’s Barbican to perform the Symphonic Legends concert programme.

Supporting the orchestra on stage will be the classical band Spark, who fuse the sensitivity and precision of a chamber music ensemble with the energy of a rock band. The five member, ECHO Klassik music prize winning group, is renowned for its diverse style, effortlessly combining classical greats with contemporary avant-garde, minimal music, exciting rhythms and film and video game themes. Spark will be performing the Roger Wanamo arranged Concerto for Spark and Orchestra, which features popular melodies from The Wind Waker.
